Cover design and photography art direction
2015-2018
Happenings is a monthly magazine that was distributed throughout the Charlotte region with a circulation of 25,000 copies per month. I worked with a small design and content team at Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority to create each issue. I was in charge of designing 2-3 articles per month, designing the cover at times, meeting with the content team to brainstorm ideas, and art directed our freelance photographer to shoot images of local businesses and their products. My creative manager, Mitchell Phillips, and I created a revision process to refine the design of the magazine within a three day period. I worked directly with our local printer to proof the magazine prior to printing all copies before distribution through out the city. Below are a few spreads of many articles that I worked on.
